Description – A brand new colour break in breeding by Dr Keith Hammett has seen this gorgeous new variety enter the marketplace. Arcadian Sunset evokes fondness of our local sunsets in Arcadia, thus a fitting name. The flowers have the colouring of a beautiful evening sunset contrasting magnificently against dark almost black foliage. Like the others that Dr Keith Hammett breeds, does not require staking and quite happily grows amoungest the perennial boarder. Irresistible to pollinators this compact Dahlia is perfect in the garden or in pots. A wonderful cut flower.
Flower Time - Summer, Autumn
Size - Grows to 60cm high x 60cm wide.
Use – Dahlia’s provide contrast and texture to the landscape and are a foundation of the cottage garden. Great performers, perfect for mixed borders or container gardens. Low water requirements once established. Frost hardy, dying down in winter, re-shooting in the spring.
Position - Full sun.
Maintenance - Remove spent flowers for repeat flowering. Water during dry spells. Lift tubers in winter & replant after the last frost.
