Botanical Name - Helleborus orientalis
Common Name - Lenton Rose, Winter Rose
Description -Evergreen low growing perennial with attractive foliage. Heads of long lasting flowers in winter and early spring in a range of shades of creams, pinks and purples.
Flower Time - Winter, Spring
Size - Grows to 40cm tall x 40cm wide.
Use - Ideal for adding drifts of winter colour under deciduous trees and shrubs. Flowers are good for cutting.
Position - Part to Full shade
Maintenance - Thrives in cool, partly shaded to shaded areas in moist, humus rich, well drained soil. Tolerates frost and short dry spells. Water after planting until established. Mulch well.
