Common Name - ‘Sweet Potato Vine’
Description – A compact, tropical plant can be used as a vine or trailing ground cover. The leaves are large, heart-shaped with lime green leaves. A Fantastic accent plant, giving a real tropical feel in the landscape. In colder climates, it will go semi-dormant over winter.
Flower Time Beautiful mauve/purple flowers during spring, summer and autumn.
Size 60cm wide x 30cm tall.
Uses Ideal for outdoors in full sun or part shade as a groundcover in garden beds, rockeries, retaining walls, pots, trellises, window boxes and hanging baskets.
Position A hardy plant which tolerates full sun to part shade conditions. Frost tender.
Toxicity: Tubers are edible but not meant for consumption. Leaves are not to be eaten & can be highly toxic to pets if ingested.
Maintenance - Cut back after winter or to shape.
