Botanical Name – Lavandula pinnata ‘Sidonie’
Common Name – Sidonie Lavender
Description – A vibrantly scented mounding lavender, perfectly suited to the harsh Australian climate, thriving where other Lavender struggle with heat and humidity. Sidonie thrives in a full sun and need a free draining position. Flowering all year with long stems with vibrant violet-blue fork flowers that wave in the breeze. To encourage repeat flowering, remove spent stems and fertilise.
Flower Time – Intense, vibrant violet-blue flowers develop in abundance for most of the year in warmer climates.
Size - Grows to 1.3m tall x 1.5m wide.
Use – A beautiful easy to grow shrub. Ideal selection for mass planting borders, banks or particularly good in large containers.
Position - Suitable for full sun position
Maintenance – Remove spent flowers and prune to maintain shape and promote re-flowering. Needs a frost free position. Waterwise once established.
