Description
A low ‘shrubby’ Salvia which has great tolerance of our hot, dry conditions. A stunning display loved by the birds and bees. Flowering for a long period, this is a great addition to your garden giving a small to mid-range plant for your perennial boarder. Huntington Red is an excellent garden performer with spectacular red flowers throughout spring to late autumn. Thriving in hot dry conditions and requires little care once established.

Flower Time Continuous vibrant red blooms appear during late spring to late autumn.

Size Grows to 60-70cm high x 60-70cm wide.

Use -  Quick growing shrubby Salvia which gives long lasting colour for many months. An excellent addition to the low to mid perennial boarder. Ideal for mass plantings.


Position - Performs best when grown full sun conditions.

Maintenance – Very hard though deep watering is recommended during extended dry periods. Apply a slow release fertilizer after pruning in spring. Dead head throughout the year to encourage more flowering. Tolerant of frosts of around -2oC, re-shooting in spring. Cover the roots with mulch during winter for the cold and summer for the dry. Cut back hard once your frosts have finished in spring.
