Description
A ‘shrubby’ Salvia with deep green leaves and large flowers with lime green calyxes and electric blue flowers. A stunning display loved by the birds and bees. Flowering for a long period, this is a great addition to your garden giving height in your perennial boarder.
Flower Time Flowering for a very long period from summer to early winter
Size Grows to 1.2-1.8m high x 1.2-1.5m wide.
Use - Quick growing shrubby Salvia which gives long lasting colour for many months. An excellent addition to the back row of the perennial boarder.
Position - Performs best when grown full sun to part shade conditions.
Maintenance – Very hard though deep watering is recommended during extended dry periods. Apply a slow release fertilizer after pruning in spring. If you get heavy frosts, the top may be hit but they will reshoot in spring. Cover the roots with mulch during winter for the cold and summer for the dry. Cut back hard once your frosts have finished in spring.
